Kiwi's CAN fly :D

I found this on the web, hilarious!

I also found this site which lists the most spread video's on the internet of this week. I find this a good laugh (ouch).

Stupid Ass People

Above movie doesn't seem to work anymore, so here's a new one:

My little girl is a little snotty these past 2 weeks. She coughs alot and it doesn't sound good, poor girl. We watched Little Miss Sunshine last week. If you want a good laugh, go see it.

I got to lv58 in Silkroad. Sold my sos sword and shield and threw millions of gold away in alchemying my lv60 sword and shield. Bah, I'm so sick of this game right now. The alchemy is teh suxx0r. When I got the lv60 stuff complete I'm planning on not using alchemy EVER again. I currently need another 1000SP to make my 10K-grind complete. I'll level my masteries and skill to lv55 and start all over again with a 3-gap. This one wasn't as bad as the 12K grind before and I think I'll have to continue the SP grinding for quite some time because I don't wanna level up as quickly as my guildmates who let their skills hang around lv5x. Ah well, being almost lv60 still gives me enough reason to play. I want to get closer to my guildmates so we can PvP :)

Trailers

Check out the teaser trailer of the newest Harry Potter movie.

If you like movie trailers and you still don't know the best movie trailer site on the net, bookmark Dave's Trailer Page now!

I watched the 2006 version of The Omen. It was exactely the same as the 1976 version, only much less scary. To make up for that I watched The Bourne Supremacy. Emphasis on 'Bourne' please pleople. Remember, his name is Jason Bourne, he's not born in this movie.

Robert Ludlum wrote 3 books about Jason Bourne, and I see now that the last one, The Bourne Ultimatum, is in production, yay! I think Matt Damon is a great actor. I enjoyed many of his roles and I can't wait to see him in The Departed.

I made it halfway through The Punisher this weekend and I'll finish it tonight I think. You gotta love that oneliner "There is no justice, there is only revenge".

I finally got to lv56 in Silkroad and got to 12012SP, yay! I thought i could bring my skills up to lv 55, but I only managed to get to 53. I recalculated from there and it will take me another 9200SP to get to lv55, d0h! So I guess I'll just start all over again, sigh. Luckily, with this 3-gap, leveling is still fast and I hope to make lv57 next week. This week another event started. The Thanksgiving Festival Event. So-Ok returns and we have to bring her the Jewel boxes that fall from the monsters :) There is a really cool item I want to have, the "Gold Dragon Flag(avatar item) with strength+2, intelligence+2 option", but after 17 boxes I still haven't received one. Hopefully in the next event days, I'll get it.

New Zealand rules

My friend R (who lives in HongKong now) started his own blog, yay!

Here's a pretty nice story about how American ignorance can sometimes bite 'm in the ass ;)

And here's an eye-catching add I found worth showing to you:

Winter is coming

I edited my template again to make it somewhat wider. Reads a lot better on 1024x768 and there is also some good news for people that still use a resolution of 800x600 or lower(!) to view this blog; You FINALLY have a valid reason to buy a new monitor!

I watched some CSI: New York Episodes this weekend. You gotta love it ;) I like the series because of Gary Sinise . He's just one of my favorite actors because of movies like Forrest Gump, The Stand and Of Mice And Men although when you see many episodes his role (as all roles in a series) seems kinda limited, as in, the character he plays (of course) always stays the same. The little twists in these series are always the coolest parts (like why he still wears his wedding ring while his wife was killed years ago in the 9/11 WTC disaster).

I also watched Save The Last Dance 2 with my wife yesterday. They would've done better to call it Save The Last Dance; The Remake. The story is exactly the same as in part1. It's even about a white girl and black boy again, bleh.

We went to 2 birthdays this weekend. Saturday we went to see my youngest sister. She's 24 now. We brought Y and had a nice afternoon in Groningen. I installed Heroes Of Might And Magic V for my brother in law F. He's a master in HOMM3 and I hope he'll like this new version too :)

Sunday we went to Landal Greenparks De Witte Bergen in IJhorst to celebrate the 26th birthday of I. Her parents rented a house there and she came over with her husband V, a good friend of mine from Dordrecht. His family also lives up north so this was a great opportunity to get the whole family together. I have to say we had lotsa fun. All very nice, normal people. There was also a baby there from V's little brother and his girlfriend. And all we grownups could do, was watch her and my daughter Y :D Y had a great time. There was so much to see for her and also a lot of noise of course. She smiled a lot. At the end of the day she was wrecked and went to bed without crying :)

Really cold here at work. I'm having some trouble with some muscles in my neck lately. I've got an infection in them the doctor said. I wonder if it's from not sleeping completely under the sheets . My wife says she covers me multiple times during the night. And I do wake up with a kinda cold neck. Ah well, during the day I wear a scarf at work and in the car, that should do the trick.

I missed the lv52 sos+3 sword I mentioned in my previous post because I was unable to login for 2 days and the guy sold it for 32M. I'm lv55 now, w00t. Still grinding Sonars. 7800+ SP now, 4200 to go. Leveling is sloooow now, because of the 6 level gap I got now. My guild mates have a different tactic. They remain a 0 gap until they reach lv61 and start to SP farm from there till lv70. I warned them, it will be so boring to grind at lv60+, but of course they don't listen. Fact is, I'm now the lowest high level in the guild. My friend Exile stormed past me and is now lv56, while I was, at one point, 3 levels ahead of him. 2 other members who have more time to play are now lv59 en lv62. Darn, I'll never catch up with them :-/

Grinding Sonars with the lv52 sword+5 was not cool. I missed my lv52 sos+5 sword so I bought one yesterday :D 30M it cost me. And I spend another 10M to make it +5 and apply stones to it. Yes, it was a strange evening. But my oh my, do I love that sword. It only has crit6, so I'll up that, but ever hit, every blow gives so much more damage and also my nukes are stronger. I love it. Playing the game like this makes it so much more worthwhile IMO. I'll prolly won't switch it for a lv56 sword, but only for a lv60+5 or +7. We'll see by then :) Tonight my 52sword+5 got sold right away for 12M while I had it for 12M for 3 days before and I only got an offer for 10M. So happy me, I got about 45M again. I'm still trying to get my lv56 shield block 18 to +7, but so far it has been +4 only twice while applying about 80 elixers to it and I wonder if I should just stop at +5 and sell it. It already cost me more then I'll gain with it when selling.

Goodbye and good luck my friend

Yesterday we were visited by our friend R. He's going to China. Not just for a holiday but for good. At least, that's the plan. He met a cool girl on his previous trip and she also visited him for about 12 days. They really like each other and they will live together in Hong Kong in a 4mx4m room :D

We are very excited for him, this is a great adventure! He'll have to have a decent job within 2 months, because by then his gf will have a project that will take her abroad for a few months and thus he'll have to pay the rent by himself. Luckily for him, Hong Kong is a metropol and a lot of people speak English. Not that he doesn't understand and speaks a little Chinese, it's just that he's learning Mandarin and in Hong Kong everyone speaks Cantonese, d0h!

We hope it all works out as planned and that he'll have a great time in China, which BTW, will be the next world power in about 8 to 12 years. So he couldn't have found a better time to go economically speaking. His plan will be to go up north (into the Mandarin part) as soon as possible, but I guess that will also depend on the wishes of the lady :D

Silkroad status: Patch 1.065 wrecked havoc on the Silkroad and today another patch was released to fix it all. I had a problem when suddenly the 'Bloom Effect' corrupted my textures and I couldn't see anything lol. Other players lost crit and block on their equipment, aargghh. Didn't play much. 92.50% now with 7200+ SP. Because of the problems with the patch, the event started today with the fix-patch, so it's time to grind myself to lv55 :) I also saw a nice lv52 sos sword+3 int4 crit9. It was 32M and I offered 30M, but now I think I should've just bought it, cause I can prolly loose my current 52 sword+5 for 10M. Ah well, we'll see what's in the silkroad email when I get home.

This concludes my blogging for today, see y'all next time!

Don't you just hate mondays?

Hi ppl,

Time for some blogging :)

This weekend I spent a lot of time with the family. We celebrated my grandmother's 84th birthday in her hometown Ede on Saturday. I went to see her on her birthday, October 17th, too. We ate at a Japanese restaurant, which was good, and had lotsa fun. We dropped our daughter Y off at my wife's sister and her husband. Y has a rather tight feed/sleep schedule and she doesn't really sleep well if she isn't at home in her own bed, so it wasn't all that nice for her as it was for us. We picked her up at about 23:30 again and she slept in the car and she went to sleep at home after 10 minutes of crying.

My parents were also at my grandmother's the 17th and the three of us visited my other grandfather in the hospital. He had a few months of illness after he went to the hospital for a rather simple surgery. The hospital personnel made a number of stupid mistakes and they needed 2 more surgeries to properly close his thoracic diaphragm. He also had pneumonia as a result of mistakes by the hospital personnel. They also managed to mismonitor his glucose level 2 or 3(!) times which also didn't do him much good. What a bunch of idiots. I want to warn people who read this to be sure to never wind up in the hospital Gelderse Vallei in Ede, NL.

Not much time for Silkroad these days. I successfully applied a 20% crit stone to my sos+5 sword and I managed to get a new crit rating of 14! Lucky me :D Although crit doesn't do a lot more damage because I'm a nuker hybrid, it's still lots of fun to constantly see the crits flying of monsters when grinding. I hadn't had much time to enjoy it though, because some French dude bought my sword the next night for 52 million gold! That left me with 102M, w0000t!

I bought myself a lv52+3 crit9 sword with int5 and 70% mag attack for about 2.6M, but I noticed i got a real problem. The difference in attack power between a sos+5 and a normal +3 is so big, i couldn't normally grind on the same monsters (Sonar) anymore! I tried hard to find a nice +5, but I couldn't find one and eventually I had no other choice then to try and +5 my sword. Lucky me, I only needed 2 wep elixers for that! Now, at +5 I can reasonably grind Sonars again, and my sword has this nice purple glow again :D

I spent some gold on elements and stones and got a 80% dura increase, 20% attack rating incease and 60% block parry ratio on the sword, so it's pretty nifty now. I'm 82% now with 6800SP and still have to grind to 12000SP. Luckily a compensation event starts tomorrow with a 30% exp increase so I'll level somewhat faster. The event also covers a 100% drop rate increase and a 50% gold drop increase, what a fine time to grind this week :D

Enough now, ttyl.

Time passed :)

Hi y'all!

Yes, time passed without me writing. My wife nagged me about it yesterday, so here I am :D

Lots and lots has happened of course. We had a real traditional Italian wedding in Montalbano, Italy. Wonderful. Our friend R made the trip with us. We flew to Napoli on Friday and arrived the same night, after a 4-hour train trip, at the hotel at about 22:00PM. The next day was the amazing wedding. It was like in a movie :D Of course there was a lot of eating to do and we enjoyed a 8-way meal with lots of fish food, yummie! There was a special meat program for my wife because she doesn't eat beasts that come from the sea except for kibbeling. We added an extra relax-day at the 4-star hotel where the wedding was at. There was a nice pool there, little chilly, but that was OK.

Next day, we missed our flight, ... BUMMER! The train we were supposed to take, didn't leave at 08:15 according to schedule (at least that's what made of it) but at 10:45! Seems it had a different schedule for weekdays, aargh. So we took the bus to Salerno and got in the train to Napoli. We seemed to be going to make it, but then.... the train stood still a the for last station for 1 hour due to a signaling error, AARRGHGHH!

Anyways, when we made it to the airport, the plane was boarding, so there was no way to get on it. We took the train to Rome and spent the night at the airport there. The next day, we took a 09:30AM flight to Rotterdam an were picked up by our friend R's dad. We were home finally @ 17:00PM. Total extra cost for the 2 of us: 470EUR, ouch......

Yesterday my beautiful daughter was baptized. It was a service to remember. My wife's choir was present and sang some beautiful songs including the one that was especially written for my little daughter. A day to remember!

On the gamefront; I became lv54 in Silkroad :D I'm now full sos again and it's all +4 or +5, saweetah. I will post some pics soon. I'm farming skillpoints now. I need 12000 to upgrade all my skills to my current (will prolly be 55 then) level and create a 0 gap so I can level faster to 60 because there are no quests until lv60. Takes alot of grinding though, and that is boring. I got about 5300 SP now, so almost halfway. I need another 46% to become lv55 and my estimate is that I've got about 11000 SP by then. So somewhere halfway lv55 I will make a leap in strenght, muahahahaha. I've got a lv55 sos+4 coronet and a lv57 sos+5 chest waiting :) We did a 5* trade the other night. Lotsa fun and we actually made it to Hotan. I made some pretty good buys and sells this week, so I'm now at a whopping 55.899.000 gold! Still need my lv56 sos legs, but the rest is for a superb lv64 sword and shield. It will take ages though to get there and I might pick up a lv60 sword+7 along the way if i find one. Also the first +9 have arrived on our server. I got a screenie of one that I will post soon.

Friday Evening

Bah, I typed alot of text 2 days ago, but something is wrong with the links button. Somehow it wouldn't register I already put in the link, and it got stuck. I couldn't push the publish button and when I tried to copy the text to the clipboard, it all got deleted in an instant.

Anyways, I'll type all the text first now, copy it and put in the links.

I fixed the error on the homepage. It wasn't a CSS bug but rather a bug of the software I used. I should've know, even Microsoft calls it a beta. It works in all browsers now. And actually that is very good. No need for adjustments for other browsers, it just works. Kinda cool for a Microsoft beta product :D

I got an email from an old friend today. He has his own blog right here.

I'll try to get the links to the cool movies I was trying to post before. Here is the best beatboxer I've ever seen. Here is the most famous Idol in the world; the incredible William Hung! And here are some very nice breakdance moves.

I finally got a hold of Microsoft ISA Server 2006. I'll be using it for my own network to get to know the software. I know there are some really good guides/howto's at isaserver.org.

I made lv51 on Silkroad, yay!

Oh, and I tried Firefox 2 beta 2, and it's great! I recommend it to you all.

Here is another movie about the lying government of USA by Mike Ruppert.

Sunday

Today is a slow day. This morning we went to church. I watched Zathura with my wife. Last night I finally came to the point that I needed to make a new homepage. I already installed one of the latest and greatest pieces of software from Microsoft : Microsoft Expression Web Designer so I started from there. I loaded a template and started to edit. Result can be seen here. The page currently doesn't work with Firefox 1.5 nor with Internet Explorer 7 RC1 prolly due to CSS errors. I haven't tried Firefox 2.0 beta 2 yet, but i fear that the only way to correctly view it, is to use Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (which currently 85% of the internet users use to browse, so it's not THAT big of a deal).

Last friday was my last day at my previous assignment. I'll go to the home office tomorrow, let's hope the next assignment is right around the corner.

I'd be surprised if you wouldn't know this; but the 9/11 incidents have a foul smell around them. Some things just don't add up. Actually, a lot of things don't add up. There are quite a few videos on Google Video about the events, but Loose Change I think is the most popular. View it with dutch subs if you like. I encourage everyone to watch it. Not that I think it's all true and it's one big conspiracy, but just to show you that the whole thing stinks.

I grinded my character in Silkroad to lv50 today, yay! It won't be long for i can finally wear my lv52 sos+5 sword and my lv52 sos+5 shield.

7 Days Later

Okay Okay, it took some time. I will tell what's keeping me busy. Friday the 18th of August my sister-in-law had her second wedding. It was a nice day with alot of happy people. The new family now includes 5 people of which 3 are children below the age of 10.

Friday evening my friend Remko stayed over and he didn't leave till sunday afternoon. We had fun and watched some movies. First we watched 2 For The Money and after that we watched 16 Blocks, both movies have a nice ending so they were OK. I watched La Cite Des Enfants Perdus in the evening with Remko, but I drank too much wodka (first time since a long time, I'm not a drunk) so i missed everything after the 3rd minute. I finished watching it on Sunday I think and loved it. It's one of the most bizarre movies I have ever seen.

I also watched some episodes of Millennium. I like the series, because it's a bit like The X-Files but a tad creepier. Thank you Chris Carter. I'm watching the second season now.

The day before yesterday our friends RJ and Marinda came over. We watched a movie called Feed. It wasn't a high quality movie, but we enjoyed it nevertheless because it was kinda gruesome and at least it wasn't a standard mumbojumbo Hollywood movie.

If you've got time to spare and like Massive Multiplayer Online Games, check this out. Alot of games are free to play and I currently play Silkroad Online but this afternoon I stumbled over a google video movie about this game Priston Tale II: The 2nd Enigma and it's awesome! This might be the next big thing! There is are 2 very big movies in the multimedia section. Also a very nicely made Flash on that site. Now let's hope this game will be Free To Play when they finish it.

It seems my wife is mocking me in her comments :P For her pleasure I added a visitor counter to the blog.

The Day After

Well, my wife thinks me blogging is total bollocks, so it's up to me now to prove her wrong :P

My current assingment will stop September 1st. Today I met with a colleague and he told me about this cool assignment he got. There is so much work to be done and when I told him I'll be available from September 4th he got the idea to get me to work with him. It seems to be a very challenging job and I'm quite excited about it. Let's hope it works out :)

I adjusted the templated again to use the Verdana font by default. I really like the white, open, borderless look of it now and I wonder what I should adjust next. I think I will check out some other custimized blogs to get some ideas. Maybe you, who reads this, have some ideas! Leave them in the comments you can make on this blogs, thanks!

My First Post

I finally started a blog, yay!

Although I'm Dutch, I'll write my blog in English so the whole world can enjoy my stories :)

I really like the fact I can edit my template and I plan to customize it greatly. I just added my Pandora bar in my blog, I hope you like it.

I found a funny movie clip here. You should also check out the 50 coolest websites on the Net.
